A winner is neither made nor finished in one try - This holds true except under one circumstance. That is as long as we don't give up or never try...

I am reminded of situation after situation where persistence has won out. My friend, there is no rule that says we have to already be an expert before moving towards our dreams. Life will show us the way towards achievement if we only allow ourselves to remain focused on that which we want to see manifest in our lives.

Believe in the power of your dreams even if no one else does because when you make them a reality it won't matter who doubted you... Your friend in cyberspace, Josh Hinds :-)

Reasons for keeping a journal - Chances are you at least keep track of your daily tasks in some form already. If not, what are you waiting for? There's an old saying that say's "How can you know where you're going if you don't know where you've been?"

In the unlikely event that you're not into such sayings let me offer up a few more reasons to keep a journal or diary.

Reasons for a journal

1. Better able to track our progress.
2. A place to record of our goals and dreams.
3. Gives an excellent pick me up when we feel we're not making ample progress.
4. Makes an excellent sounding board.
5. Super place to record that idea for later recall.
6. Allows us to review over a long period of time and see where we can make changes.

7. Offers us a written record of events.
8. when tax time roles around we have records that we were actually taking the client to lunch that day! (couldn't resist that one...lol)

The list of reasons is never ending, but I think you get the picture :-) Don't underestimate the power of keeping progress of your goals. It's an absolutely vital step in reaching that which we desire... Your friend in cyberspace, Josh Hinds

Do what you enjoy -- If you've read this list for a while you know this is something I am BIG believer in. Not only that, it's something I do by example. I strongly encourage everyone that this article happens to pass by to try and adopt this as you're personal philosophy...

Does that mean that every single thing I do I always enjoy? Certainly not... I've yet to find joy in taking out the trash, putting gas in my truck, or many of the other tasks that simply have to be done. What it does mean though, is that I make certain I include things in the bigger picture of my life that bring with them excitement and personal fulfillment.

The simple fact is you may hate your job, yet it's not economically feasible to just storm in and throw your resignation at your boss. Nor would I advise this :-)... What you can do however, is start now taking steps that can lead towards replacing the income you rely on from your current employment. Perhaps that is found in a home business, or perhaps simply sending out resumes and working in a more enjoyable atmosphere.

The simple reality is my friend... You don't have to be trapped! It may not be the easiest thing in the world to simply try something else and it doesn't mean that the necessary change involved is even something you're personally willing to endure. However, by the same token, don't allow yourself to fall into the trap that you're stuck! Stuck is for people in quicksand with no tree branch handy. My friend, may you always look for ways to enjoy life, be it in your career or personal life (or a combination of the two)... Your friend in cyberspace, Josh Hinds :-)

Take a mentor off the shelf - You say you wish you had someone that could offer guidance? Someone who's walked the line before. Surprise! Unless you haven't ever been to a bookstore or library lately then you've already found one of the most over looked sources for mentors...

Imagine being able to tap the greatest minds available. We can do just this by simply visiting the self-help or business or biography sections in our bookstores or library's. Working with people one on one is wonderful, but equally rewarding is the knowledge that is waiting on us in the form of mentoring awaiting us in the many books available... Each day begins a new! No matter what may have happened yesterday, no matter how bad it may have been, it doesn't have to affect this day. Remind yourself of this to the point that you know it to be an absolute truth. What is in the past is just that my friend, Take comfort in this...

By the same token we can find the courage to move on to new and exciting things in our lives. New ideas and ventures are just around the corner waiting for us to either jump on board or let them pass. The choice is ours and the future is ours. Make the choice and above all else enjoy the journey...Your friend in cyberspace, Josh Hinds :-)

Ambition is one of those things that just happens to a person. Thankfully there are many aspects to it...

Personally it has always been the belief that I am meant to achieve something bigger than myself. To somehow make a difference in those that I come into contact with each day. To an extent I feel accomplished, but each day I, as I am sure many of you are driven by ambition more and more.

I hope that you'll take the time to always explore, and ask yourself what drives you. What makes you feel a sense of accomplishment. A strong personal sense of accomplishment fills one of our most basic human needs. In turn we feel better about ourselves, when we feel good about ourselves it shows! On the inside and out... Visualization as a tool for achieving your dreams - Visualization can be applied to just about anyone's intended goals. Why is it that it work so well. My friend, that is the $64,000.00 question! The best I can figure is it allows us to more clearly see that which we want to transpire in our lives...

For example, you tell me you'd like a new car. By itself it's just a car you want, certainly not exciting enough to drive you towards your goal is it (excuse the pun :-)? Guess what, It's likely not exciting enough to make your subconscious do the things it needs to do to move you towards that goal either.

Instead, try adding a little visualization to the statement. See yourself shopping for that new car... It's red, or perhaps black. It's the perfect size to take your children to little league or maybe spend a night out with friends.

See yourself driving around town in our new vehicle and having a great time! You see my friend, with the right amount of visualization applied to our goals, we allow our minds to see objects as real things that are indeed reachable.

Visualization can be applied to many areas of your life, and be just as effective. You say you have a meeting with the CEO of the company? Try running through the meeting in your mind. Imagine it going extremely well! Make it as real as possible in your mind. Applying visualization techniques can help to subconsciously program ourselves for success...Your friend in cyberspace, Josh Hinds :-)
