![]() Friday, April 14, 2006 The Myth Of Perfect Timing By Josh Hinds (c) Perfect timing is at best a myth. The truth is that there's no better time than this very moment to do whatever it is that we've been neglecting. There will never be any better time than now to reach out to that family member that we keep putting off calling. Now is the time to rekindle the friendship that for whatever reason we have let dwindle. This very moment is as good a time as any to pick that phone up and reach out to that person you've been meaning to get back in touch with. There will never be any better time than right now to commit to learning a new skill set and improving yourself in some way. The present is what you and I have -- this very moment that we find ourselves in right now. We plan for the future because not to do so could leave us vulnerable (after all what would we do when the future finds us?). Even still the "now" is what you and I are promised. There is a lot of truth in the saying, "the present is the gift we give ourselves". Now it's time to let go of whatever fear may be built up that's been keeping you from doing just that. The longer you and I allow our procrastination to get in the way of doing what we know we must do the more power we give to that very thing that's stopping us. The surest remedy to overcoming your fears is to do that which we know we must. Is it easy? Of course not, but it is doable. One of the greatest rushes you will feel is the one you will experience at the point where you find yourself moving just past what you've been allowing yourself to get stuck on. Whatever you might be dealing with at this moment close your eyes, take a few deep breaths and make the jump ... and as you take action know without a doubt that greatness is a part of who you are. Remind yourself that inside you is more talent than you can possibly fathom. My hope is that you will spend each day allowing those gifts and talents to be set free -- for the good of you, your loved ones, and all of us that will benefit as a result of your choosing to do so. -- Here's to your success, Josh Hinds http://GetMotivation.com posted by Josh Hinds | Permalink |
