How to Conquer Rejection Forever By Robert D. Smith

Rejection is a part of life that we have been trained to find unpleasant. But what if every rejection only meant you were one step closer to a yes? What if you considered rejection to be a crucial part of your search instead of an obstacle? What if it were merely a chapter in the much larger story of your purpose?

That’s the mind-set I had when I sold books door-to-door for Southwestern back in college. If there’s one profession where you’ll learn a lot about rejection, it’s door-to-door sales.

3 Questions for Getting Unstuck and Motivated to Succeed

Are you struggling with procrastination? Is there something on your to-do list that you keep putting off? Having trained as a life coach, I often meet with clients who are struggling with motivation: there’s something they need to do, but they just can’t manage to get motivated enough to do it.

My first question is always: Is it something you really want to do, or is it something that you feel you should do? Most of us live in a world where it can be challenging to separate what we really want to do from the things we think that we should do. We fill our to-do list with things that we ought to do, or need to do, often without asking ourselves whether we really want to do them or not.

How to Inspire an Audience: A Room Full of Women Any Day

The other day we were watching our two daughters play. A light bulb went on regarding women.

They’re different than men.

“No sugar Sherlock.”

Stick with me.

Girls laugh a lot. Boys on the other hand laugh too, but it is regularly associated with something physical. Like most boys, our son is kinesthetic. He will laugh the second you throw him in the pool. Wrestle on the carpet or knock him on his keester during a pillow fight.

Quit doubting yourself

There will be times in life where you may lose hope in something. That time for you could be right now. You’re going to want to give up, but I have one word for you: Don’t.

You need to keep going through whatever you have on your mind, because it is nothing more than your gut giving you the doubt.

This doubt is there to keep you from reaching your own success. Essentially, doubt is your enemy.

Everyone gets these feelings, including myself. It’s only a matter of knowing how to react to it.

Can You Stay Positive in a Negative World?

Dave BreslowWhat did you see on the news last night?

I’ll tell you what I saw–out of a 30 minute newscast, and not counting commercials, I saw 11 stories. Out of the 11 stories 9 of them were about something negative. Is this unusual? Sadly, no, it’s not.

We live in what I call a “toxic” environment. It’s all around us and makes it increasingly challenging to see the positive and bright side, doesn’t it? Negativity is all around us. We see it on television and listen to it in song. Of course, it’s not ALL negative but there is so much of it out there that it is critical that you don’t get swept up in it.

Are You Successful at Playing Your Song?

Dave BreslowWayne Dyer often says “don’t die with your song left inside you.” What does this mean? To me, this means that we are all a success when we share our gift with the world. It also means we all have dreams and even though they may be “stifled” or “buried” within us, they are dreams nevertheless. That dream is our “song” and when we play it we are confident and happy.

5 Positive Principles That Will Help You “WIN” in Life

Ryan C. Lowe - motivational speaker and authorI heard a very interesting statement not too long ago that really made me think and it has stuck with me for sometime now… this person made a statement saying “you can measure a person’s height, you can measure how high a person can jump, you can even measure how fast they run, but you can not measure a person’s heart. What that person meant and what I got from that statement is that you never know what’s in a person’s heart and just how hard someone will work for something.

Success Lesson: On Persistence

As I do every morning, I wake up and go right to my iPad to read all of the newsletters, emails, and quotes that I subscribe to. You might do the same, you may have a very similar routine. If so that is a great way (I find anyway) to start my day.

Whatever the routine you have, as long as it works for you and you are able to start your day filling your “Happy Meter” in the right direction… good on ya!

Beating the chill of your life…Walk Faster

What’s the feeling of winter? The cold and the chill! A time when the sun hides for days behind the blanket of a thick soot of clouds and the freezing winds hit your spine at a ravaging speed.

What should you do to beat the cold? Stay warm, cocoon yourself in the heat of the blankets or the heaters in your homes, offices and other spaces…or just walk faster than you regularly walk!

Walk faster? How is walking faster going to beat the chill of the winter?
